The Edward G. and Kathryn E. Mader foundation is a family foundation committed to the health, education and welfare of children in Greater Kansas City. This foundation was established in 2000 by Kathryn in memory of her husband of 55 years.
During his lifetime, Edward tried hard to find and donate to charitable organizations that really assisted Kansas City residents. He had been blessed with a surplus of funds and felt a great need to give to those less fortunate. Many worthy organizations benefited from his generosity during his lifetime. After his passing in 1982, Kathryn felt it would be a great tribute to his memory to continue this standard of giving.
