A. No.
Q. Does the Mader Foundation have an email address where it may be contacted?
A. At the present time we prefer not to publicize our email address. If you have a question not answered here, it may be submitted using the form at the side of this page.
Q. Does the Mader Foundation have a phone number we may call?
A. At the present time we prefer not to be contacted by telephone.
Q. Is the Mader Foundation making a single distribution?
A. No. Distributions are to be made annually from the foundation.
Q. May we apply for funding for more than one year?
A. No. A new request should be submitted each year.
Q. We received funding for one year. May we apply for funding for a second consecutive year?
A. Yes.
Q. We received funding for year one and would like to submit a proposal for year two. Must we still submit our initial application for year two?
A. Yes
Q. We received funding during two consecutive years. May we apply for another year of funding?
A. If at least two years have passed during which you did not receive funds from us, then Yes. Otherwise, No.
Q. Our agency is not located in Greater Kansas City. May we still apply?
A. If the funds you are requesting will serve youth in Greater Kansas City, Yes.
Q. Will requests that you receive in March or April be treated differently than those post-marked May 1st?
A. Funding requests will be read and processed as they are received.
Q. Our 990 tax forms are posted online free by www.guidestar.org, will that be sufficient to meet the requirement for telling you where online our 990 tax return may be reviewed?
A. Yes, but please include your agency's Guidestar identification number along with the Guidestar url.
Q. We did not finish our initial application by May 1. May we still submit it?
A. No. All initial applications must be received via email no later than May 1.
Q. Our initial application is 99% complete but there is one piece that will not be ready to be emailed by May 1. May we send it at a later date?
A. No. All supporting information must accompany the initial application.
Q. Are we required to use the Summary/Cover initial application form you provide?
A. Yes. For your convenience it is available in Adobe PDF format. But you must use Adobe Reader version 8 or higher. You may edit and save the document as you work to provide your responses but do not attempt to increase the size of the document beyond one page. Similarly, do not make changes to the document's format.
Q. May an agency request funds for an existing program?
A. Yes. If the existing program fits within the current guidelines.
Q. May an agency request funds for general operating expenses?
A. No. Not at this time.
