Our Grant Making Process

From March 1 through May 1 of every year (and ONLY during that time period) the Mader Foundation entertains applications for proposals that meet our grant-making criteria.

Initial applications may be reviewed as they are received.

Please note.  Questions submitted through this email address will not be answered.

From among those applications we select those from whom we would like to learn more and invite them to submit a full proposal.

Everyone who has submitted an initial application will receive both an initial acknowledgement (auto-reply) as well as notification of whether they will be invited to continue or not.

Invitations to submit a full proposal are generally extended no later than May 15 and those full proposals are due no later than June 1.

Selected site visits in some but not every instance may be scheduled during the summer.

Grant decisions are made by September 1 and funding may be awarded either in the fall or after the new year.

The process is extremely competitive.
